Although most Egyptian rulers were male, there have been female rulers also, they are also known as Pharaohs. Below are listed some of the most common pharaohs with their relevant hieroglyphic symbols, these are generally found in cartouches which are squares with rounded corners containing a name.
In time more detail will be added to each of the individual Egyptian kings and queens to cover their family tree and a little about their history. There will also be more kings and queens added.
